Refreshment in our board ranks

Our Chairman, Nick Main, is leaving in October after seven years of wonderful service and commitment to The Middlemore Foundation and the community we serve. We are also farewelling Ranjna Patel and Rob Fisher, who between them gave 13 years of service, contribution and passion to South Auckland.

We would like to also congratulate Ranjna on winning Innovator of the Year award and thank her for coming in from time to time to help with the wool packs. We said goodbye and thanked them both at a moving ceremony with gifts of pounamu.

We are fortunate to have a new Chair elect, Lyn Lim and Deputy Chair, Margie Apa stepping up to take on board leadership positions.

Lyn has 30 years of legal practice specialising in commercial, corporate and governance issues and dispute resolution. In 2017, Lyn was appointed as a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit for her services to New Zealand-Asia relations and governance.

Fepulea’i Margie Apa’s career has spanned 20 years in the public sector, including five years as Deputy Director General in the Ministry of Health. She is currently Chief Executive Officer at Counties Manukau District Health Board. She will add huge leadership and cultural capabilities, and a passion for diversity and inclusion to our leadership team.
