A change of leadership at Middlemore Foundation paves the way for continued growth in enhancing the region’s health services in South Auckland.
Newly appointed CEO Sandra Geange will step into the influential role at Middlemore Foundation from July 10th to build on the strong foundations laid by founder and former Executive Director Pamela Tregonning.
Middlemore Foundation Chairman Nick Main says the Board is sorry to lose Pamela who positioned the foundation exceptionally well over the last 17 years, however the Board is excited to appoint Sandra who will continue to build on the progress Middlemore Foundation has made to date.
“Sandra Geange has an outstanding professional background with over 20 years experience in executive leadership roles with iconic New Zealand brands specialising in marketing strategy, digital transformation and organisational expansion.”
Sandra has led some significant diversity, inclusion and CSR initiatives to enhance the wellbeing of staff and wider communities the organisations have worked with.
Sandra’s most recent role was as General Manager of The Comfort Group and she currently sits on the Board of APAC Advisory Board - CMO Council. Formerly, Sandra spent six years as a Board Member of the Problem Gambling Foundation.
Established in 1999, Middlemore Foundation works in close partnership with Counties Manukau Health, ensuring funding is available to achieve their collective vision for greater health services for the people of South Auckland.

Middlemore Foundation’s transformational vision is reflected in its ongoing projects including Kidz First ED, Mana-ā-riki, the Wool Programme and the New Adult Mental Health Inpatient Unit.
Sandra is looking forward to continuing on Middlemore Foundation’s mission to work in partnership with Counties Manukau Health to help provide the best healthcare for the people of its community and nation. Sandra lives in Bombay, South Auckland and holds a Master’s Degree in Marketing (Distinction) from the University of Surrey in London as well as a Bachelor of Arts majoring in English and Philosophy from Waikato University.
