We would like to introduce you to Romaine, our bubbly, caring Inventory Coordinator. If you are a staff member at Middlemore Hospital or one of our knitters who visit regularly, you’ve most likely been greeted by her friendly face.
When Romaine is not in the wool room- unpacking, packing and distributing the beautiful knitting we receive, you will find her managing Human Resources (HR) or being our Health and Safety Coordinator.
Eager to help those in-need, Romaine first joined the Middlemore Foundation team as a Jammies in June volunteer last year. She spent hours helping us count, fold and pack the thousands of pyjamas that were donated. We could not see her leave, so she was soon employed by Middlemore Foundation, and we are so lucky to have her.
When we asked Romaine what she likes about coming into work, she told us the people and the purpose, “I have always wanted to work for a charity as I want to help the needy, and this job has allowed me to do it and I love it!”
